Due to increased operating efficiencies we are now offering the ERMI mold test for $150 for a 5 day TAT.  If you are not familiar with the test it was developed by EPA as a screening test to predict which homes have a potential mold burden.

The test is conducted by collecting a composite dust sample in the living room and bedroom using a vacuum dust collection device.  The dust is then analyzed by PCR for either the 36 fungal species that comprise the ERMI test or the 13 fungal species that comprise the ARMI test.

EMSL is seeing an increased acceptance of the test by indoor air quality professionals. It is a quick and easy way to screen for a potential mold problem and offers a more representative sample than traditional total spore counts or culturable methods.
