Title Honoring Lives, Advancing Safety: EMSL Analytical Marks Workers Memorial Day with Renewed Commitment to Protecting America’s Workforce
Introduction EMSL Analytical, Inc. helps employers safeguard workers through advanced industrial hygiene testing, monitoring, and safety solutions.

Cinnaminson, New Jersey, April 22, 2026

Each year on April 28, the nation observes Workers Memorial Day, a solemn occasion dedicated to honoring those who have lost their lives on the job while reaffirming the ongoing commitment to safer, healthier workplaces. The date also marks the anniversary of the founding of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration in 1971, a cornerstone in the effort to protect workers across the United States.

Safeguarding worker health and safety remains a critical priority. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, there were 5,070 fatal work injuries recorded nationwide in 2024, a decrease from 5,283 in 2023. The agency also reports that private industry employers documented 2.5 million nonfatal workplace injuries and illnesses in 2024, a 3.1% decline from the previous year.

“These latest figures show encouraging progress in reducing both fatal and nonfatal workplace incidents,” said Joe Frasca, Senior Vice President of Marketing at EMSL Analytical, Inc. “However, behind every statistic is a person, a family, and a community affected. These numbers remind us why strong industrial hygiene and environmental, health, and safety programs remain essential. At EMSL, we are proud to support the mission of Workers Memorial Day and have spent decades helping organizations protect their workforce.”

EMSL Analytical provides a comprehensive range of industrial hygiene (IH) and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) solutions, including laboratory testing services, sampling supplies, user-friendly test kits, monitoring instruments, building inspection tools, and personal protective equipment. These resources not only help create safer work environments but also support organizations in maintaining compliance with OSHA standards.

To help raise awareness, EMSL previously sponsored an educational video about Workers Memorial Day, which remains available online: https://youtu.be/ksB6drQOY88
