IAQ Testing Services

Air Quality Awareness Week (AQAW) returns May 4–8, 2026, bringing together public agencies and health advocates to spotlight actions that protect and improve the air we breathe. First recognized in 2007, the annual initiative continues to raise awareness about environmental conditions that impact communities nationwide.

 

Led by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in collaboration with partners such as NASA, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the U.S. Forest Service, the National Park Service, the Department of Energy, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, AQAW also draws support from state, local, and tribal organizations.

 

This year’s daily themes focus on critical air quality topics:

• Monday – Wildland Fires and Smoke
• Tuesday – Asthma and Your Health
• Wednesday – Indoor Air Quality
• Thursday – Air, Animals, and Plants
• Friday – Air Quality Resources
